ATS 59 | Medium Artillery Tractor

I created this ATS-59 model during a period when I was fascinated by the Soviet Union and its unique, almost perfectly designed vehicles. While this model isn’t flawless, it remains one of my favorites—partly because the ATS-59 is such an obscure machine that few people know about. The ATS-59 is a Soviet artillery tractor developed in the late 1950s. Built for rugged terrain, it features a tracked chassis, allowing it to tow heavy artillery and transport troops in harsh conditions. With a diesel engine producing around 300 horsepower, it was a reliable workhorse for the Soviet military. Despite its functional design, the ATS-59 never gained the fame of other Soviet vehicles, making it a fascinating piece of engineering history.
